La Table Breizh Café Restaurant in Cancale - 1 Michelin Star
La Table Breizh Café is a one Michelin-starred restaurant located above a creperie in Cancale. It is run by Japanese chef Fumio Kudaka and overlooks the sea. The establishment was originally created by chef Bertrand Larcher, who was one of the first to export buckwheat crepes and other Breton products to Japan before returning to France. The facade is charming with its authentic creperie ambiance. Upstairs, the dining room is minimalist and Japanese culture can be felt with a unique seating arrangement and furniture. A real journey from the Bay of Mont Saint Michel to Tokyo awaits you!
As for the cuisine, the chef expresses his creativity in colorful plates, with precise and refined presentation and seasoning with power and exoticism. Local products are showcased with the help of Japanese sauces and condiments, always in a mastered combination of flavors. On the menu are specialties such as pan-fried turbot with daikon coulis and samphire, dried plum puree, or guinea fowl with langoustines and sand carrots. Desserts are not left behind with beautiful combinations of yuzu, brioche, and lemon cream. Three menus are offered with prices ranging from 38 to 160 euros.
The service is professional. The wine list is correct and is complemented by a great selection of sakes.
The one Michelin-starred restaurant is open for lunch and dinner from Thursday to Monday.
