Nestled at the foot of Mount Fuji, Fuji Speedway embodies a fascinating fusion of speed, innovation, and automotive heritage. This legendary circuit, inaugurated in 1965, attracts racing enthusiasts from around the world, offering a true adventure for motorsport aficionados. With its 4,563-meter track, Fuji Speedway invites visitors to experience unforgettable moments, whether through thrilling races, driving experiences, or a historical exploration at the heart of the museum.

Under the Gaze of Fuji: The Dance of Engines

Fuji Speedway, opened in 1965, is an iconic FIA Grade 1-certified circuit in Asia that hosts various internationally renowned events throughout the year. With its 4,563-meter main track, it offers a unique experience thanks to its long straight allowing impressive speeds before the daring braking into the first corner — all under the majestic gaze of Mount Fuji. Among the prestigious competitions held here are Super GT, the FIA World Endurance Championship, and endurance races such as the 6 Hours of Fuji. The track is not merely a competition venue but also a daily training ground for drivers, accessible to hotel guests as part of Toyota's Fuji Motorsports Forest project. Outside of race days and private testing sessions, guests can explore the circuit on foot or by bicycle while enjoying the leisure and dining facilities surrounding this complex dedicated to motorsport enthusiasts.

The Thrill of the Track on Simulators

For thrill-seekers, the Fuji Speedway Hotel features two distinct racing simulators. The first, located in the fitness room, is a state-of-the-art simulator offering an immersive experience with a 180-degree view, a racing seat, a steering wheel, and a vibrating suspension system. It allows users to choose from various cars and transmission configurations while enjoying a realistic sound environment. The second simulator is found in the hotel bar, where guests can play "Assetto Corsa." This simulation game offers total immersion with its realistic graphics and ability to recreate the intensity of motorsport — all while sipping an excellent cocktail or a glass of Japanese whisky. These simulators are ideal for practice or simply unwinding after a day on the circuit.

Behind the Wheel of the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder

The Fuji Speedway Hotel also offers unforgettable driving experiences on the circuit itself. Guests can choose to drive impressive racing cars such as the GR Yaris RZ High Performance, the GR Corolla RZ Morizo Edition, or more luxurious models like the Lamborghini Huracan Spyder and the Nissan GTR Nismo R35. A particularly unique experience is driving an "Itasha" — a GR86 AT adorned with vibrant character motifs — for three thrilling laps in a secured formation. For those wishing to experience the thrill of circuit driving, these rental options allow you to discover the power and agility of these vehicles in a safe setting. We had the pleasure of driving a Lamborghini Huracan Spyder, an incredible machine that provided the perfect introduction to circuit driving in complete safety, with Mount Fuji as a backdrop, of course! Once all drivers are ready, every car sets off on the circuit for three laps following a safety car that must not be overtaken. This activity is perfectly suited to all levels, and everyone can drive at their own pace — the only prerequisite is holding a Japanese driving license or an official translation of a foreign license.

For enthusiasts who prefer to bring their own vehicle, Fuji Speedway offers complete flexibility. Guests can drive their own car on the circuit and experience the excitement of piloting on one of Japan's most iconic tracks. Additionally, those wishing to hone their skills can enroll in a course to obtain a dedicated license.

A Journey Through 130 Years of Passion

The hotel houses the fascinating Fuji Motorsports Museum, which spans the first two floors and showcases an impressive collection of 40 vehicles, illustrating the evolution of motorsport through the ages. This museum, managed by Toyota Motor Corporation in partnership with ten national and international automobile manufacturers, offers visitors a captivating journey through 130 years of history. From the earliest French races of the late 19th century — where steam, electric, and gasoline vehicles competed — to modern prototypes and Grand Prix single-seaters, each car on display tells a story of technological prowess and bold innovation.

The museum does not merely showcase iconic cars; it also invites motorsport enthusiasts to discover how technological advances born on the racetrack have transformed production vehicles, making motorsport a true laboratory of innovation. Legendary cars that shone on circuits around the world sit alongside models displayed for the first time in Japan, underscoring the global impact of motorsport. After exploring the exhibitions, visitors can unwind in the third-floor shop and café, which offer a breathtaking view of the circuit from the terrace, adding an extra dimension to the already enriching museum experience.
