In the heart of the chic 16th arrondissement, I spent two nights in an exclusive apartment where I had the chance to enjoy the true Parisian life. At La Réserve Paris Apartments, guests can make themselves at home in one of ten upscale apartments inside a beautiful Haussmannian building. Here you’ll find plenty of space and home-style comfort while still enjoying access to the spa and restaurants at La Réserve Paris Hotel, only 15 minutes away by car. Follow me for a guided tour!
Michel Reybier’s Version of Luxury
La Réserve Paris displays two versions of Parisian-style luxury, located 15 minutes away from each other: on the one hand, the hotel features a classic, 19th-century style, while on the other hand, the apartments have a more contemporary appearance. Highly different atmospheres, but the same standards in terms of service and prestige. We owe both of these gorgeous structures to Michel Reybier, who has been well-known in the realm of luxury hotels for several years. With his “La Réserve” establishments located in Ramatuelle (where I stayed last year!), Geneva, and Paris, he sets the bar very high in an already competitive domain.
His La Réserve Paris Apartments follow in this same tradition, serving as pieds-à-terre where guests can make themselves feel at home, whether it’s for a getaway of just a few nights or for several months. Here, you’ll find understated elegance, a far cry from the ostentatious luxury of certain five-star hotels, which Reybier cultivates throughout his establishments. We’ve heard that a number of international celebrities, politicians, and well-known jet-setters have taken up residence in these exclusive apartments… but don’t say a word! Privacy and discretion are the guiding principles in this place!
A Short Walk from the Eiffel Tower
Located in the heart of the stylish 16th arrondissement, these apartments benefit from an idyllic location across from the Eiffel Tower, and are also close to a number of other tourists hotspots in the capital. As I stepped out of the car in front of number 10, place du Trocadero, I took a moment to admire the beautiful yet discreet Haussmannian building. Featuring a majestic, polished wooden door, the site gives no mention of its purpose – and this is how our visit began, making us feel like we were coming home to our own Parisian apartment.
Feel at Home
The ten apartments, which range in size from 150 to 300 m², are absolute gems, with an understated and contemporary design that contrasts with the classicism of the building. The décor is the work of Rémi Tessier, who sought to combine “beauty and usefulness, aesthetics and the reality of daily life” in his creations. Bathed in natural light and enhanced by high-quality, modern furniture, Tessier’s minimalist design mixes ebony, slate, concrete, metal, and glass, all associated with neutral tones to suit every taste. We stayed in the “smallest” apartment (which is still a sizeable 150 m²), featuring a separate bedroom.
The best part, of course, is the range of services included in the apartment reservation: a concierge, valet parking, an in-house chef, a babysitter, and even spa treatments in the comfort of your room. Every morning, the housekeeper served breakfast at a time that suited us before beginning with her daily tasks, including grocery shopping and laundry. We really felt right at home, but with our own house staff!
Don’t Forget the Amenities at La Réserve Paris Hotel
What a pleasure it is to have a “home” in Trocadéro while still being able to take advantage of the hotel’s various amenities only 15 minutes away, with the car transfer arranged for us, of course! We began our evening at the bar in a gorgeous library, with delicious cocktails in hand to toast our good fortune!
For dinner, we opted not to visit Le Gabriel, a two-Michelin-star restaurant, but chose instead La Pagode de Cos, which pays tribute to the French art de vivre with contemporary, seasonal cuisine. The menu includes classic dishes, such as steak tartare and carbonara tagliatelle, as well as more original recipes, such as the lobster cannelloni parmesan (which was delicious!). As for dessert, the restaurant offers a series of unforgettable flavors, such as the popular sour calisson (almond cookie).
The following morning, I headed to the spa, an exclusive refuge with a 16-meter pool, three treatment rooms, a hammam, and a fitness room. I was lucky enough to have the place to myself – a total luxury! After that, the signature de-stressing massage helped me to relax both physically and emotionally, and was perfect for relieving accumulated tension. These exclusive treatments are administered using products from the Nescens brand, which is adapted to anti-age skin care and personalized regimens.
The Verdict
La Réserve Paris Apartments stands out in the realm of Parisian luxury hospitality. Here there’s no enormous lobby or crowds, but rather ten beautiful apartments that will make any guest feel at home. The residence’s prestige is further enhanced by hotel services to help you feel pampered by an ultra-professional team. It’s also a huge advantage to be able to enjoy the amenities on offer at La Réserve Paris Hotel, a Parisian luxury establishment where the restaurants, bar, and spa are well-known throughout the city. An exclusive place that will thrill travelers seeking a luxurious and confidential experience in an exceptional setting!
I loved:
- The comfort of a real apartment: even in a large suite in a Parisian hotel, you can’t get this kind of comfort and space!
- Very exclusive, quiet place ‒ you can disconnect from the world here!
- The resident staff handles almost everything for their guests
I disliked:
- Breakfast didn’t meet my expectations; I thought we could have the same one that was offered at the hotel, which wasn’t the case.
Practical Information
- More information available on their website
- Apartment with separate bedroom starting at € 1700/night in late March 2019
