From France to Bangkok: Our Culinary Experience at Scarlett

Several weeks ago, we had a memorable evening at Scarlett Wine Bar & Restaurant. From the moment we arrived, we were charmed by the friendly atmosphere and the breathtaking view of the illuminated city. To start, we opted for the G-Board, a generous platter combining three aged cheeses and three quality charcuteries. Each bite transported us to France, between the softness of creamy cheeses and the refined taste of artisanal charcuteries, all enhanced by a glass of Château Carignan Prima, a Bordeaux with deep and balanced aromas, which perfectly complemented this gourmet starter.

We then continued with marine flavors, tasting a tiger prawn, served with salted butter potatoes, a fragrant romesco sauce, and lemon wedges. The textures and flavors blended wonderfully, enhancing each ingredient with precision. For the main course, we opted for an exceptional piece: Australian Wagyu beef, dry-aged between 4 and 6 weeks. The rib steak, perfectly grilled, was accompanied by a creamy and comforting mashed potatoes. To finish, we indulged in a rum baba, generously soaked and melting in the mouth, as well as refreshing sorbets, which brought a fruity and light touch at the end of the meal.

My Opinion

Scarlett Wine Bar & Restaurant won me over with its elegance without ostentation and its true homage to French gastronomy. Finding exceptional products like aged cheeses and artisanal charcuteries, all enhanced by a well-thought-out wine list, provides a rare pleasure in Bangkok. Between tradition and creativity, Scarlett manages to transport my taste buds while offering a spectacular view of the city. A venue that perfectly embodies the elegance of the French art of living under the lights of Bangkok.
