During my stay in one of these suites named Ayutthaya, in tribute to a glorious period of Thai history, I was captivated by its elegance and refinement. This suite, with an area of 95 m², not only offers a separate bedroom but also a luxurious bathroom with a walk-in shower, a round bathtub with an integrated television, and a large dressing room.

It is complemented by a guest bathroom, a kitchen equipped with a private wine cellar and a maxi bar, all opening onto a spacious living room with a private dining table. As for the large balcony, it offers a panoramic view of the city. Comfort is taken to the extreme with high-quality amenities, such as the Bose sound system, a premium mattress wrapped in 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets, ensuring a luxurious stay experience.

Beyond breakfast, the Baan Borneo Club offers an afternoon tea service and cocktails served at sunset.

Gastronomic Discovery at Nimitr: A Tribute to the Flavors of Thailand

The cuisine at the 137 Pillars Suites & Residences Bangkok offers an exceptional culinary exploration through its various establishments, each offering a unique experience. The Nimitr restaurant, located on the 27th floor, is a jewel of gourmet Thai cuisine where elegant and seasonal dishes captivate the senses.

During our experience at Nimitr, we chose an outdoor dinner, enjoying the mildness of a February evening, accompanied by a panoramic view of Bangkok. The menu, rich in flavors, takes advantage of the benefits of Thai herbs and spices, offering an à la carte option or a four-course menu, for which we opted.

We started with the Miang Kham King Scallops (pan-seared king scallops with Thai herbs, dried coconut, and sugarcane sauce) which was a favorite, and the Yum Bai Cha-Kram Thai Wagyu Beef (spicy salad of grilled Thai Wagyu beef and chakram leaves, topped with a duck egg). The second dish was a Tom Sab Kai Mod Dang Pla Yang (aromatic Thai herb soup with dried fish).

For the main course, we chose the Gai Yang with Ma Kham Sauce (free-range bantam chicken with tamarind sauce and Thai condiments) and the Massaman Gae (Massaman lamb curry with an assortment of pickles), the latter being particularly tasty. For dessert, it was impossible to resist the traditional Kao Neaw Mamuang (sticky rice with mango with mango mousse and coconut flakes) which we paired with a Tub Tim Krob (Red Ruby water chestnut with jackfruit and coconut ice cream).

Beyond Nimitr, 137 Pillars hosts Jack Bain’s Bar, a speakeasy with an English twist and Thailand-inspired cocktails, nestled in a hidden corner of the 28th floor offering breathtaking views. The Bangkok Trading Post, located at the hotel's entrance, offers a comfortable escape with dishes inspired from around the world, prepared with local and sustainable products, available throughout the day, from breakfast to dinner.

My Review

My stay at the 137 Pillars Suites & Residences Bangkok was a superb experience, perfectly combining luxury and comfort in the heart of the vibrant Thai capital. The ideal balance between residential serenity and urban dynamism is perfect for those who wish to combine relaxation and exploration of the city. My Ayutthaya suite offered optimal comfort, ideal for staying a few days. As for the pools, they will surely delight lovers of panoramic views!

I liked:

  • Superb large suite, perfectly equipped, spacious, and comfortable.
  • A beautiful rooftop infinity pool, exclusively for suites.
  • Breakfast in the lounge (for suite guests only) at any time of the day, great flexibility!
  • I regretted:

  • Not enough sun loungers at the pool; two unsuccessful attempts, a pity not to be able to enjoy it!
  • Practical Information

  • Ayutthaya Suite at a rate of 430€ in March 2024.
  • A big thank you to 137 Pillars Suites & Residences Bangkok for the invitation to discover their establishment. Of course, I remain free in my comments in this article!
