I’m continuing with another post about my travels through Morocco this past May, the perfect time of year to discover (or rediscover) the charms of Marrakesh! After the Royal Mansour, the Selman, and the Villa des Orangers, I set my sights on the Four Seasons. Surrounded by an impressive 16-hectare estate, this five-star establishment offers an attractive set of amenities for both couples and families. You won’t find a more appealing resort! Come with me for a visit!

A Haven of Tranquility in the Heart of Marrakesh

From the moment you enter this luxurious resort, you’ll feel your everyday troubles melt away! This 16-hectare domain includes gardens, fountains, pools, and a number of pavilions—with so much to do, you can easily spend several days here without ever venturing outside. The 141 rooms and suites feature a typical Moorish architectural style, yet offer a more modern look and feel than other local establishments I’ve visited. Traditional elements and contemporary comfort blend together inside the hotel, with every room offering a terrace or balcony with a view of the snowcapped Atlas Mountains, the Menara Gardens, or the resort’s own gardens.

Our Home Away from Home

We settled for two nights into the Premier Patio Suite with Private Pool, an incredibly comfortable and spacious suite at 80 m². The interior is super-modern, yet punctuated by various traditional accents, while the patio and private pool are a dream for guests seeking a peaceful getaway! We spent an entire afternoon reading and going for dips in the pool, all in complete privacy!

As for the service, it goes above and beyond the Four Seasons’ already excellent reputation. The personnel is exemplary, with staff members bending over backwards to guarantee a dream vacation. It’s without a doubt the best service that we encountered in any Marrakesh-based hotel!

A Resort with Plenty to Do

There’s no lack of activities on the Four Seasons’ estate. First off, there are two pools—one for families and the other for adults only (a much-appreciated feature). The Four Seasons Marrakech also includes a wellness spa, where guests can indulge in treatments with inspiring names such as the “Miel d’Ambre Sensations Ritual” or the “Argania Ritual” in one of fifteen treatment cabins. I opted for a relaxing 50-minute Argania massage. True bliss!

Culinary Delights

During our first evening at the Four Seasons Marrakech, we had the pleasure of dining at Inara. This restaurant emphasizes Moroccan, Turkish, and Lebanese influences in its gastronomy, with dishes such as mezze, tajines, and grilled meats, all served in a gorgeous setting designed to look like a Moroccan riad.

The restaurant Quattro, on the other hand, serves southern Italian cuisine, featuring fresh pasta, seafood dishes such as the couscous speziato di pesce, grilled meats, and Sicilian pizzoli. At Azzera, guests can sit alongside the pool in the shade of palm and olive trees and enjoy summery cuisine at any time of day.

The Verdict

The Four Seasons Marrakech is a fabulous resort where guests can kick back and relax for a few days. There is no lack of activities within the establishment, and the medina is only a stone’s throw away! But beyond the various facilities, such as the five-star-level spa and restaurants, the top-notch service is truly worth mentioning! This luxury resort offers an incredible getaway in Marrakesh to couples and families alike!

I loved:

  • The professional and friendly personnel—the best we encountered in Marrakesh!
  • The Patio Suite is incredibly comfortable, while the terrace is ideal for relaxation
  • The hotel successfully brings together couples and families

I disliked:

  • The décor is rather neutral, so it’s hard to truly feel like you’re in Marrakesh (as you might in other local establishments)

Practical Information:

Thank you the Four Seasons Marrakech for the invitation to explore their establishment.Of course, the content of this blogpost was left entirely up to me!
