Creative Cocktails, Exceptional Sushi, and Signature Desserts
The Cuisine at Bar des Prés Dubai Embodies an Elegant Fusion of Japanese Precision and the French Refinement Dear to Cyril Lignac. From the Sushi Counter to the Signature Dishes, Every Creation Combines Technique, Boldness, and Harmonious Flavors. The Menu Offers a Culinary Journey Between East and West, With Inventive and Well-Executed Plates. On the Beverage Side, a Curated Selection of French Wines — From Burgundy, Bordeaux, and the Rhône Valley — Perfectly Accompanies Each Dish, While the Cocktail List Blends Timeless Classics With Contemporary Creations.
Our Dinner at Bar des Prés Dubai Began With a Fresh and Refined Note: the Tokyo Garden Cocktail, a Delicate Blend of Hendrick's Gin, Yuzu, Sake, and Lychee — Perfectly Balanced, Both Floral and Tangy. Meanwhile, My Husband Opted for the BDP Café, Mixing Havana 3-Year Rum, Matcha, Miso, and Coffee for a Surprising Composition That Was Smooth, Earthy, and Slightly Umami.
To Start, a Selection of Six Exquisitely Crafted Sushi Set the Tone for the Evening. Presented on an Elegant Wooden Tray, Each Nigiri Glowed With a Silky Shine, Showcasing the Freshness and Exceptional Quality of the Fish. From Salmon to Bluefin Tuna, Shrimp to Hamachi, Every Piece Reflected Japanese Precision and Attention to Detail, Both in the Cutting and the Balance of the Rice. We Then Continued With a Sublime Half-Seared Australian Wagyu Carpaccio, Delicately Flamed to Perfection and Served on a Ceramic Plate in Green and Brown Tones, Highlighting the Rosy Hues of the Meat. The Melt-in-the-Mouth Texture of the Wagyu, Enhanced by a Subtly Flavored Truffle Ponzu, Was Accented by Grated Daikon and Golden Crisps, Adding Both Freshness and Contrast.
The Lobster Roll, Served in Two Generous Bites on Perfectly Toasted Brioche, First Seduced With Its Elegant Simplicity. The Lobster Meat, Delicately Bound, Was Topped With Thinly Sliced Avocado and Accented With a Hint of Sweet Chili. This Dish Balanced the Tenderness of the Lobster, the Creamy Smoothness of the Avocado, and the Softness of the Bread in a Composition That Was as Beautiful as It Was Delicious. The Main Course — Miso-Caramelized Black Cod — Literally Melted in the Mouth. It Was Accompanied by Young Spinach Sprouts and Sesame, Adding Texture and Lightness. On the Side, Miso-Caramelized Green Asparagus, Sprinkled With Hazelnuts and Dressed in a Sesame Vinaigrette, Brought a Subtly Gourmet Plant-Based Touch. The Unexpected Yet Velvety Vanilla Mashed Potatoes Rounded Out the Meal With a Warm and Comforting Sweetness.
Dessert Was a Tough Choice Between Two Creations as Elegant as They Were Indulgent. The Vanilla and Pecan Praline Mille-Feuille, Crispy and Airy, Showcased the House's Pâtisserie Expertise. But It Was the Profiteroles That Truly Marked the End of the Meal: Light Choux Pastry Filled With Smooth Vanilla Ice Cream, All Generously Topped Tableside With Hot Chocolate Sauce. A Grand Classic Dessert, Executed With Flair and Emotion!
