In the heart of the Downtown district in Dubai, only a stone’s throw away from the emblematic Burj Khalifa, the Address Boulevard hotel opened its doors two years ago. Its strategic location and Art Deco-inspired design make it the perfect destination for a short stopover in the city. With its 196 rooms and suites, urban spa, and bistro-style gourmet restaurant, it attracts travelers from around the world who are looking to discover the Emirates’ overwhelming grandeur.
A Breathtaking View
Right in the center of Downtown Dubai, the Emaar Group expanded upon its selection of hotels by opening the Address Boulevard location inside of a 72-floor skyscraper in 2017. The building’s height is astonishing enough, but it’s nothing compared to the nearby Burj Khalifa, which at 828 meters (or 2,720 feet) is the tallest tower in the world and a must-see when you visit the city. Some of the rooms face the tower, offering an incredibly beautiful panorama. This five-star is also a paradise for fashionistas: it’s connected to the Dubai Mall, the world’s largest shopping center with more than 1,200 boutiques.
An Art Deco-Style Ambiance
For its design, Address Boulevard was inspired by the Art Deco period, creating a sleek and timeless ambience. The marble lobby is a perfect example, displaying a chic and modern atmosphere enhanced by several bright floral arrangements. The hotel owns a beautiful collection of artworks, featuring 251 pieces by 48 well-known artists, as well as several chandeliers to make it even more grandiose.
196 Classical, Refined Rooms
Address Boulevard offers 196 rooms and suites, as well as 532 residences which are ideal for longer visits. We settled into the Boulevard Club Room for two nights to kick off our stay in Dubai. With its 54 m² and classical European-style ambience, the room features light hues and refined décor along with a marble bathroom. But its best asset, which contrasts sharply with the interior design, is the balcony, with an unbelievable view of the Burj Khalifa reaching for the stars. Day or night, it’s impossible to grow tired of this panorama, a symbol of modernity and avant-gardism in a rapidly expanding city.
An Urban Spa
A 5-star hotel isn’t complete without a spa! Guests and non-guests alike are welcomed to this 760 m² space for a relaxing moment in the jacuzzi, hammam, or sauna before heading to one of ten treatment rooms (or perhaps the spa suite for a more exclusive experience). The treatments on offer come from every corner of the world, from the traditional hammam to Balinese and even Ayurvedic massage – you’re spoiled for choice! For those seeking to get a tan, head to the establishment’s three outdoor pools, one of which is reserved for families.
Bistro-style Gourmet Dinner in a Cozy Ambience
Starting with breakfast, The Restaurant is the place to be! We were thrilled to discover a tasty breakfast buffet as well as several made-to-order dishes, including French toast, Eggs Benedict, and even avocado toast for a healthier option!
At dinnertime, the ambience changes as the lights take on a subtler glow, drawing your attention to an interior design which is reminiscent of a luxurious European apartment. Several spaces with distinct atmospheres to suit every taste have been arranged; guests can sit on the terrace facing the Burj Khalifa, opt for the comfy kitchen, head to the salon, or even eat in the library. In terms of gastronomy, The Restaurant offers a bistro-style menu with international recipes as well as local specialties that blew us away! Another, more informal dining option is The Lounge, which serves food on-the-go throughout the day.
The Verdict
Address Boulevard is the five-star hotel of choice for a first stay in Dubai, thanks to its proximity to several points of interest such as the Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa. The view of the latter is one of the establishment’s best features, with several rooms and suites offering this stunning panorama! The urban spa is a wonderful place to relax between outings, and the pools present the perfect opportunity to bask in the Dubai sun. Meanwhile, The Restaurant guarantees a delicious dinner, featuring lounge music and international cuisine.
