Benefiting from a strategic position on The Walk at JBR, The Ritz-Carlton Dubai stands out as an ideal place to stay and explore the city. This luxury hotel stands majestically on the beachfront and offers breathtaking views. Its location allows easy access to various city's must-see attractions such as the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai Mall. In addition, the hotel is in the immediate vicinity of the dynamic Dubai Marina district, allowing you to immerse yourself in the heart of the hustle and bustle of this exceptional metropolis.
An Arabesque Style
From the moment you cross the threshold of the Ritz-Carlton, Dubai, you are greeted by a sense of opulence. The lobby is a spacious area, enhanced by a huge glass bay that offers a spectacular view of the gardens. Architectural details, such as the dark beams and elegant columns, add a touch of sophistication. As for the color code, a warm palette oscillating between yellow, beige, and bronze pleasantly contrasts with the dark wood trim. In the center of the marble hall, a central fountain adds a soothing dimension to the atmosphere, its mirrored surface reflecting the crystal chandelier suspended above.
Elegance and Comfort in My Deluxe Room
The 5-star establishment offers a total of 294 luxury accommodations, including 41 suites, ensuring exceptional comfort. Each room and suite has a balcony or private terrace, offering a view of the sparkling sea or gardens.
We stayed in a 50m² Deluxe Room with a private balcony, a spacious dressing room, and a generously proportioned marble bathroom adorned with Diptyque brand toiletries. The interior atmosphere is dominated by chestnut woods, framing a discreet color palette of beige and mustard, and enhanced by typical Arabesque patterns of Dubai's old luxury hotels.
A Relaxing Afternoon at the Spa
The Spa at the Ritz-Carlton, Dubai is a wellness sanctuary, harmoniously combining oriental traditions and European techniques. This luxurious space offers a timeless break with its 12 treatment rooms, three of which have their own private terrace. The facilities also include relaxation lounges, eucalyptus-infused steam rooms, an outdoor relaxation pool, cold and hot jacuzzis, and a state-of-the-art fitness center.
We were tempted by a couples' massage called Arabian Felix. This unique ritual brings together regional ingredients such as rose water, Dead Sea salt, and camel milk. It begins with a gentle foot exfoliation, then continues with a full body massage. We emerged from this afternoon at the spa perfectly relaxed and unwound, ready to continue our evening.
An Exceptional Dinner at Tamoka
The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai offers a diverse gastronomy, offering guests a culinary journey through the flavors of the world, from the Middle East to many other international destinations. Unique experiences are also on the menu: a lively brunch every Friday, a refined afternoon tea at the Lobby Lounge, and themed dinners.
Italian flavors at Splendido with its beautiful marble bar, chic decor, and elegant atmosphere, or an excursion to Southeast Asia at Blue Jade, the choice is vast! For our part, we fell for the charm of Tamoka, with its unique style and privileged beachfront location! The marriage of sublime interior decoration and a culinary journey through the stunning flavors of the Antillean seas is simply irresistible!
Comfortably seated on the terrace facing the sea, the beach just a few steps away, we admired the vibrant colors of the setting sun while browsing the menu. Tamoka has drawn its inspiration from the culinary richness of the Antilles, Tulum, San José, and Lima, to the shores of Cartagena, Caracas, and Panama City, all with a contemporary touch.
The cocktail menu was so enticing that we opted for a Pisco Sour and a First Love to accompany our wait before the appetizers arrived. In terms of gastronomy, although the choice was difficult as the dishes all seemed delicious, our selection won us over! We started with Sal y Pimienta Calamarcitos, small fried squids crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, and absolutely tasty tuna tacos!
For the main courses, we chose the most emblematic dishes of the restaurant: lamb chops and lobster, both grilled. The cooking was perfect, and the right seasoning enhanced these dishes.
For dessert, the flambéed banana pie beautifully ended this delicious dinner. With flambéed rum, dulce de leche chocolate, and cooked bananas, it's a guarantee of a particularly addictive dessert!
A Gorgeous Private Beach
This luxury resort offers a plethora of swimming options, including two family pools, two pools specifically designed for children, a luxurious spa pool, an adult-only pool, not to mention the Arabian Gulf Sea.
We had the privilege of settling on the private beach that leaves nothing to chance: cozy sun loungers, turquoise waters to refresh yourself, a breathtaking view of Ain Dubai - the largest observation wheel in the world. And to top it all off, a small cooler bearing the hotel's logo, filled with refreshing water. In short, an idyllic setting to relax and enjoy a few hours of serenity!
The Verdict
The Ritz-Carlton Dubai is a luxury resort where boredom has no place! We had the opportunity to enjoy its beautifully landscaped private beach, its numerous pools, and its upscale spa during the day. At dusk, it was the Tamoka restaurant that enchanted us! The complex delights both couples and families with a range of activities suitable for all ages. It's undoubtedly an exceptional place to spend a few days in Dubai.
