Located in the Intercontinental Bangkok, one of the city’s most luxurious hotels, Theo Mio is among the best Italian restaurants in the area. It features authentic and familial cuisine in very pleasant surroundings, with an open kitchen and numerous leafy plants creating a lush environment. The chef, Theo Randall, is known world-wide, and while enjoying his cuisine I came to understand the buzz around his name.
I had a chance to try the Sunday brunch and believe me, it’s a treat! It starts with appetizers, including bruschetta “al Pomodoro” and calamari that’s to die for! For the entrée, you can choose between five dishes: risotto, pizza, lasagna… there’s something for everyone. To top it all off, a selection of delectable Italian desserts are on offer! The meal is of course served with all-you-can-drink prosecco (or other alcoholic drink)!
Enchanted by the excellent brunch, I returned for lunch, where I believe that I tasted the best spaghetti with carbonara sauce I’ve ever had! Truly a delight!
Brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 11.30am to 2pm, 1488 bahts per pax (38€).
