During my visit to the Sources de Caudalie, I couldn’t miss the chance to spend a few leisurely hours at the adjoining spa. Could you resist the sight of a jacuzzi, or the call of a fabulous massage? For me it’s just impossible!
Having used products from the Caudalie brand for so long, and seen countless articles touting this celebrated spa as “the place to be,” I must say that it’s pure happiness arriving in the lobby to discover an ambiance combining luxury and relaxation.
I’m graciously welcomed and given a presentation about the spa and its facilities. The location is absolutely beautiful: a large room featuring wood and stone elements covers the pool, while great bay windows offer a view of the surrounding vineyards.
Surrender Yourself on a Deckchair between Swims
After slipping into my swimsuit and bathrobe, I spend an hour lounging on a deckchair near the pool, all while enjoying the grapes which have been thoughtfully provided. The ambiance is calm and relaxing in this charming place. I get cold very easily but the pool is warm, unlike the chilly pools I’ve encountered in certain spas.
Plunge into the Famous Wine Barrel Bath
For this special moment, my husband comes to join me. Ten or so minutes before our first treatment, a vinotherapist comes to lead us to a large room. The famous wine barrel where we’ll immerse ourselves in a bubbling bath for fifteen minutes takes center stage in the room. After adding a few drops of essential oils and some grape pressings, it’s time for another relaxation session, ending with a head massage that lasts for a few minutes.
Get Pampered as a Couple
For our next treatment, we wanted to try the signature massage, the Caudalie massage “en duo,” an ideal romantic activity. We give ourselves over to the expert hands of our masseuses for an hour. What a treat! I think that this massage makes it to my top three, the experience is so exceptional! The vinotherapists are very attentive to our needs during these generous treatments, whether it be for the atmospheric music, the pressure applied during the massage, or to follow up with us throughout our time spent in the spa.
We’re lost in the clouds as we leave the cabin and head to our dressing room. Now it’s time for us to check out the restaurant, “La table du lavoir” (learn more in my blogpost about the Sources de Caudalie).
