In the heart of the 1st arrondissement in Paris, this very chic hotel in the capital is definitely one of the places to visit during the summer period. To begin with, its superb summer terrace is a true peaceful haven to experience an unforgettable moment. I enjoyed a Parisien escapade while discovering this hot spot so follow me for the visit !
The address itself is already a blessing, halfway between the very famous place Vendôme and the garden of Tuileries. We had barely entered the huge doorway when we found ourselves face to face with the massive hallway. It is in this exceptional space that the “The First” restaurant is situated during the summer and offers a choice of brunch, lunch or dinner. A small fountain is imposing in the center of the terrace while the tables are scattered around it. The clientele is somewhat mixed, colleagues coming for a quick lunch on this Thursday afternoon, couples, but also groups of friends enjoying one of the most beautiful Parisien terraces.
At the helm since December 2015, the chef David Réal offers a fresh and delicious menu. This year, the beautiful part is prepared in bowls, a recipe imported directly from Hawaii. This fresh and healthy dish is the huge trend at the moment and you’ll quickly understand why : delicious and healthy ingredients, in summary, back to the roots of a period where you would line fish for a few days and put on a swimsuit ! There are most often fish marinated with fruit, vegetables and grains that are used which gives one plenty of energy ! On the menu is a choice of 4 savory bowls and a choice of 2 sweet bowls.
I was happy to try only a savory bowl and my choice was salmon marinated with citrus fruit. For the sweet bowl, this will have to be for next time, as there is just so much good parisien food waiting for me …
