Food and Hotels: What Not to Miss in Quebec City!

Wonderful Quebec City: this flagship destination in Canada, honored as a Unesco heritage site, offers undeniable charm with its old town and narrow winding streets. And there are so many things to explore! During my brief visit in this beautiful fortified city, I drew up a list of my favorite hotels and restaurants for you!

Living the Life at the Hotel Frontenac

L'imposante et majestueuse façade de cet hôtel 5 étoiles

Truly an emblem of Quebec, this 5-star hotel has welcomed some of the world’s most famous figures for more than a century. Recently renovated, it has maintained its authenticity while adding a touch of modernity. This luxury establishment is enormous: with 611 rooms and suites, three restaurants, and a spa, it’s a must-see for lovers of old-fashioned luxury.

The Auberge Saint Antoine

Une des 95 chambres et suites de cet établissement haut de gamme

A member of the Relais & Châteaux network, this institution is located in the heart of the lower town. 95 rooms and suites display an elegant style with modern flare, allowing you to make the most of the city in a luxury setting.

A short walk from the lively “Petit Champlain” neighborhood, the Auberge is perfectly located for discovering Quebec City’s main attractions in just a few days.

The Saint Amour restaurant

La salle très romantique sous la verrière pour déguster la cuisine du chef Boulay

Since 1978, this restaurant has been a popular address for Quebecoise cuisine. Its head chef, Jean Luc Boulay, is a Frenchman who brought his expertise from the other side of the pond, flawlessly combining local ingredients with French savoir-faire.

In a magnificent room under an immense skylight, you can try for example the découverte menu ($115), accompanied by a glass of local or international wine.

The restaurant Panache

Une salle de restaurant très chaleureuse avec la cuisine du chef Pacquelin

In the heart of the Auberge Saint Antoine, you can enjoy the cuisine of chef Louis Pacquelin, who took up the reins for this fantastic establishment in 2012. Situated in what was formerly a boat shelter, this restaurant features a lovely warm décor and revisited local cuisine. Thanks to the lovely presentation of the various dishes and flavors, you’re sure to enjoy a wonderful experience.
