Autograph Collection Hotels, the luxury and character hotel collection of the Marriott International group, has unveiled the opening of a new hotel on the south bank of the Thames named Bankside. With over 135 high-end properties in more than 30 countries around the world, Autograph Collection Hotels is expanding its offering in the English capital.
Located in one of London's most vibrant neighborhoods, it is also close to the Tate Modern, the British Film Institute, and Borough Market, making it the brand new hotspot for culture and art fans. The hotel offers 161 rooms and was designed by Dayna Lee of Los Angeles' Powerstrip Studio, who subtly preserved the historical elements that make the South Bank neighborhood so rich. The decorator has called on English artisans to create works on display throughout the property.
The Bankside hotel also has a restaurant and a bar that are meeting points for both tourists visiting London for a few days and locals. Chef Lee Streeton, previously at 45 Jermyn Street, is in charge of the Art|Yard table in a casual atmosphere at any time of the day. The menu showcases seasonal local produce in European-influenced recipes, accompanied by cocktails, local beers, and a nice selection of wines.
