Urban stopover in Brussels : the Sofitel Le Louise

In the beginning of April, I attended the Salon des Blogueurs de voyage (WAT16) which, for its 3rd edition, invited us to the beautiful city of Brussels. On the program, 3 full days of blog trips, conferences, meetings and evenings. This was the opportunity for me to settle down for 3 nights in the Sofitel le Louise and here are all the details !

Taking advantage of the privileged location in the beautiful surroundings of the chicest shops in the city, this 5 -star hotel 5 from the Accor group is only 20 minutes walking distance from the famous Grand-Place. The metro and the tram are 100 meters away, making a visite to the city very easy. Transport is strategic for those who are there for tourism but also for professionals quickly need to access the cities various commercial points.

Contemporary decor

When it comes to decor, Antoine Pinto, a famous architect designed this refined and chic atmosphere. You will find the same common thread throughout the entire hotel : beige colors which run into darker shades such as brown, all the colors are interspersed : mainly pink and violet.

A spacious and comfortable room

The 169 rooms are divided into several categories, the Classic being the smallest which is 24 m2 through to the Superior, the Luxury and ending off with 10 suites which perfectly complete the this establishment’s offering. I stayed in the Superior room which offers a view over the inner court. The color code is conservative : a huge headboard in white leather overhangs the king size bed, dark wainscoting and touches of violet here and there. The Hermès welcome products and the shower effect of rain completely perfects the little urban cocoon.

How about the gastronomy ??

The Crystal Lounge restaurant offers international cuisine but unfortunately I didn’t have the opportunity to test it. The cocktail bar is perfect to relax in at the end of the day with an original creation or a local beer. For those who wish to rest calmly in their rooms, there is room service 24h/24 which would be the best option.

We loved :
– the urban chic style
– the comfort of the room

We didn’t like :
– the breakfast : a lot of choice but too industrial. The quality of the products is unfortunately not up to standard.
