Right in the heart of the legendary Mandarin Oriental Bangkok hotel is one of the most stylish bars in the capital. Although there is no shortage of magnificent rooftops in Bangkok where you can admire the sunset, the Bamboo Bar has definitely made a name for itself : the ambiance and atmosphere that has prevailed there since the 1950s certainly gives it justice. I’ll let you discover it in images !
This bar has become an icon for several years. Great personalities have crowded the floor of this iconic place which is unique in its kind. This is all in keeping with the spirit of the Oriental Hotel which is also reflected in the decor and the atmosphere.
In terms of the decor : The cane blends in perfectly with the dark paneling for a very colonial look. I was blown away by this cosy and elegant design ! A complete renovation took place in 2014 to give it a new lease on life while preserving its history and its link with the past.
The cocktail menu will seduce amateurs with its combination of originality and creativity ! Even though you’ll find great classics which have remained unchanged since the opening, the mixologists have devised numerous cocktails. So I tasted a “Miss Penelope” with a rum, lemon, passion fruit, orange juice, cream, chocolate and Amarettini cherry base, all flambed in orange ! As you will have noticed, it was very delicious ! For my companion, it was a cocktail with a Lagavulin whisky base (his favorite), and everything in perfect harmony and exquisitely tasty.
To further enhance this moment, from 9pm you can sip your cocktail while listening to a few notes de jazz ! It’s your guarantee to a delicious evening !
